The VW e-up! is fitted with a 7.2 kW on-board charger for AC charging, as well as being able to rapid charge at up to 40 kW DC. This means that even when connected to a fast charger with a rated output above 7.2 kW, the VW e-up! will only be able to charge at 7.2 kW. Vw up price VW ID.1 has been rumored since 2020, it was meant to be on the market by 2023 but now we know it won’t happen until 2025. VW kept going back and forth to the drawing board, seemingly not happy with the initial designs.
