Mercedes-Benz AMG GLE43 Coupe
Much of the turbo 2.0-litre engine is shared with the Merc-AMG A45, though the powerplant benefits from a 48-volt mild-hybrid system in this C43 application. Altogether outputs are rated at 300kW/500Nm (up 13kW/down 20Nm over the old AMG C43), which is sent to all four wheels through a nine-speed multi-clutch transmission. The F1 electric-turbocharger technology reduces turbo-lag. In between the intake side and exhaust side, Mercedes-AMG has nested an electric motor. This electric motor matches the speed of the turbine wheel and compressor wheel before achieving full-operating speed. The result is low-peak torque and no turbo lag. The 2023 C43 AMG will do 0-60 mph in 4.6 seconds and reach a top speed of 165 mph. Cheap Cars That Turn Heads Mercedes-AMG has now unveiled the 2023 C43 sedan.
